Most public sector bank jobs are filled through IBPS, which holds common exams for officers, clerks and specialist officers in public sector banks and for officers and office assistants in regional rural banks. SBI runs its own PO and clerk exams, while NABARD, SIDBI, SEBI, IRDAI, LIC and New India Assurance advertise their own posts. Nearly every exam here has an online prelims and a mains, and officer posts add an interview. Age is counted on a date fixed in each advertisement, so read the notification for your cycle on the recruiting body's website before you apply.
