About IBPS RRB PO
IBPS recruits Officer Scale I (Assistant Manager) for regional rural banks through CRP RRBs-XV. IBPS conducts the online exams, and the interviews are coordinated by nodal RRBs with help from NABARD and IBPS. You may also apply for Office Assistant in the same round, but you can apply for only one of the officer scales.

Age limit
General category: 18–30 years, counted on 1 September 2026.
Age relaxation
- OBC: 3 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: 5 years
- You must be born between 2 September 1996 and 1 September 2008, both dates included.
- The 5-year ex-servicemen relaxation is for commissioned officers, including ECOs and SSCOs, with at least five years of military service.

What they ask
The prelims has only two sections, reasoning and quantitative aptitude, with 80 questions in 45 minutes, and you must clear both. The mains has 200 questions in 120 minutes across five tests, and you choose either English or Hindi for the language test. Computer Knowledge has 40 questions but only 20 marks. The final score combines mains and interview marks in an 80:20 ratio.
How to prepare
- Put most of your prelims preparation into reasoning and quant, since the prelims has nothing else.
- Pick the language test (English or Hindi) you score better in; the notification lets you choose one.
- Revise computer basics for the mains. The test is short on marks but still needs its sectional cut-off.
- Read banking and current affairs news regularly for the 40-mark General Awareness test.
