A week of study, with room to review
Turn one topic into seven manageable sessions. Use the planner online, export your plan, or print a blank worksheet with a mistake log. No signup required.
Build a seven-day topic plan
Choose one topic and a realistic daily time budget. This is a suggested routine, not a complete exam-preparation schedule.
Your topic stays in this page and your downloaded file. It is not sent to analytics. Refreshing clears your edits; download a copy to keep them.
Polity foundations: 60 minutes a day
Suggested daily split: 30 minutes reading, 20 minutes practice and 10 minutes reviewing mistakes. Adjust the split to fit each day's task.
- Day 1 · DiagnoseTry a few questions without notes. List the ideas you need to revisit.
- Day 2 · ReadRead one relevant chapter. Close it and explain the main idea in your own words.
- Day 3 · PractiseAttempt a different question set. Explain why the other options are wrong.
- Day 4 · ConnectFind one official example or current development connected to the topic.
- Day 5 · RetrieveRecall the topic from memory, then use the source to correct your notes.
- Day 6 · MixMix this topic with an older one. Include a short numeracy or comprehension session.
- Day 7 · ReviewRetry missed questions and choose the next topic from the gaps that remain.
Use the mistake log
Record the question or concept, what went wrong, the corrected explanation and a date to retry it. A repeated error is a reason to change your next session, not just add another PDF to the reading list.
What to study
Choose topics from your examination's official syllabus. For UPSC, start with our official resource guide. Then try a short browser practice set and use the mistakes to choose your next topic.
Share it with your study group
You may print, copy and share Improvam's original planner worksheet for personal study or classroom use with attribution. Share this page so others can generate their own plan. This permission covers our worksheet, not the third-party exam papers linked elsewhere.

Does this guarantee exam readiness?
No. It is a flexible planning aid for one topic. A complete preparation plan also needs syllabus coverage, exam-format practice, revision and feedback appropriate to your starting point.
