About Rajasthan LDC
This is the combined recruitment for clerical posts across Rajasthan government departments, boards and commissions, often called Rajasthan LDC. The 2026 notification is large: 10644 posts, of which 9642 are in non-scheduled areas and 1002 in scheduled areas. It was open to candidates who qualified CET (Senior Secondary level) 2024, and it ends with a typing test on computer.
Eligibility
Age limit
General category: 18–40 years, counted on 1 January 2027.
Age relaxation
- OBC: 5 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- EWS: 5 years
- PwBD: 5 years
- Ex-servicemen: 15 years
- 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS men of Rajasthan; 10 years for women of these categories; 5 years for general women. The EWS relaxation was added by the amended notice of 15 January 2026.
- One extra year for most departments, because the previous recruitment counted age on 1 January 2025.
- 3 extra years for the Rajasthan State Pollution Control Board and the Board of Secondary Education posts.
- No upper age limit for widows and divorced women, as long as they are below retirement age.

What they ask
Phase I has two papers of 100 marks each, and the first paper packs 150 questions into 3 hours, so each question is worth two-thirds of a mark. Questions are pitched at the level of the Rajasthan board's secondary exam. Phase II is practical: two 10-minute typing tests each in Hindi and English, marked for speed and accuracy. You must clear minimum marks in every paper, not just the total.
How to prepare
- Start Hindi typing practice early, especially if you have only typed in English; Phase II has equal marks for both languages.
- Aim well above 40 percent in each Phase I paper, since only about three times the vacancies reach the typing test.
- Revise class 10 science topics like electricity, carbon compounds and light for the everyday science section.
- Practise the five-option OMR format so you mark option E when skipping instead of leaving a question blank.

Yes. Every candidate who reaches Phase II takes computer typing tests in Hindi and English. Candidates with disabilities who are eligible get the average of their Phase I marks instead.
