About Rajasthan Patwari
Patwaris maintain village land records for the Revenue Department, and RSSB recruits them for the Board of Revenue, Ajmer. The 2025 notification first listed 2020 posts; an amended notice in June 2025 raised this to 3705 (3183 in non-scheduled areas and 522 in scheduled areas) and reopened applications. Only candidates who qualified CET (Graduation level) 2024 could apply. New appointees serve a two-year probation on fixed pay.

Age limit
General category: 18–40 years, counted on 1 January 2026.
Age relaxation
- OBC: 5 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- EWS: 5 years
- 5 years for general women; 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS men who are permanent residents of Rajasthan; 10 years for women of these categories.
- 3 extra years for all applicants in the 2025 cycle, because no Patwari exam was held in the previous three years.
Qualification

Other conditions
- You must have qualified CET (Graduation level) 2024.
- Applicants from other states are treated as general category and pay the general fee.
- Final-year students could apply, but the degree and computer qualification had to be in hand before the exam date.

What they ask
The paper has 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours, and reasoning with basic maths is the largest block at 45 questions. Rajasthan GK has its own 30 questions, separate from the India section. Each question has five options; option E is for questions you choose not to answer. Leaving all five circles blank is penalised: 1/3 mark is cut for each such question, up to 10 percent of the paper.
How to prepare
- Put reasoning and numerical ability first: 45 of 150 questions come from it, more than any other block.
- Learn the five-option OMR rule and practise bubbling option E on mocks so you never leave a question fully blank.
- Prepare basic computer from the listed topics (RAM, ROM, MS Office); 15 questions come from a short syllabus.
- Revise Rajasthan art, culture and folk deities from one set of notes you can reread in the last week.
- Take daily topic-wise quizzes on the free Improvam app for Rajasthan GK and reasoning.

How to apply
- Log in with your SSO ID at sso.rajasthan.gov.in and open the Recruitment Portal.
- Complete One Time Registration if not done: the fee is Rs 600 for general and creamy-layer OBC/MBC, and Rs 400 for non-creamy OBC/MBC, EWS, SC and ST candidates of Rajasthan and for all PwBD applicants.
- Enter your CET (Graduation) 2024 application number so the system can verify your score, then fill district preferences carefully.
