About Rajasthan CET Graduate Level
CET (Graduation level) is a qualifying test, not a recruitment by itself. A valid CET score lets you apply for the main exams of posts such as Patwari, VDO, Junior Accountant and Deputy Jailor when RSSB advertises them. The score stays valid for three years from the result, you can take CET any number of times, and your best valid score counts.
Eligibility
Age limit
General category: 18–40 years, counted on 1 January 2027.
Age relaxation
- OBC: 5 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- EWS: 5 years
- PwBD: 5 years
- Ex-servicemen: 15 years
- 5 years for general women; 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS men who are permanent residents of Rajasthan; 10 years for women of these categories.
- The age rules of each post's service rules apply when you later apply for that post.
Qualification
Graduation or equivalent. Final-year students can apply but must meet the qualification rules of the post they later apply for.
Other conditions
- You need at least 40 percent in CET to be eligible for the main exams; SC and ST candidates get up to 5 percent relaxation.
- CET 2024 scores expired on 11 February 2026, so earlier candidates must apply again.

What they ask
CET is a single paper of 150 questions for 300 marks in 3 hours, with 1/3 negative marking. The syllabus is broad, running from Indian and Rajasthan history to economy, science, reasoning, computers, Hindi and English, much like a general studies paper. A score of 40 percent (35 for SC and ST) only makes you eligible; selection for each post happens in its own later exam.
How to prepare
- Treat CET as the foundation for Patwari, VDO and accountant exams; the Rajasthan GK you build here carries over.
- Aim for a safe margin above 40 percent, since falling short by a few marks shuts you out of every post CET covers.
- Use full-length 3-hour mocks with negative marking to find your safe attempt count.
- Note the score validity: a CET result stays usable for three years, so time your later applications accordingly.
