About Rajasthan CET 12th Level
CET (Senior Secondary level) is the qualifying test for 12th-level posts. The 2026 notice lists 14 posts, including Rajasthan Police constable, clerk grade II and junior assistant posts in many departments, and forester. It does not give a job by itself; each post has its own later recruitment for CET-qualified candidates.
Eligibility
Age limit
General category: 18–40 years, counted on 1 January 2027.
Age relaxation
- OBC: 5 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- EWS: 5 years
- PwBD: 5 years
- Ex-servicemen: 15 years
- 5 years for general women; 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, MBC and EWS men who are permanent residents of Rajasthan; 10 years for women of these categories.
- The age rules of each post's service rules apply when you later apply for that post.
Qualification
Senior Secondary or equivalent. Students in the final year of senior secondary can apply but must meet the qualification rules of the post they later apply for.
Other conditions
- You need at least 40 percent in CET to be eligible for the later recruitments; SC and ST candidates get up to 5 percent relaxation.
- A CET score stays valid for three years from the result. CET (Senior Secondary) 2024 scores expired on 16 February 2026, so earlier candidates must apply again.

What they ask
The paper has 120 questions for 240 marks in two and a half hours, with a third of the marks cut for each wrong answer. Rajasthan topics dominate: history, art and culture, geography and economy of the state each have a place in the syllabus. Everyday science, reasoning, maths and both languages round it off at senior secondary level.
How to prepare
- If you are aiming for police constable or clerk posts, prepare CET first, since those recruitments are open only to CET-qualified candidates.
- Make Rajasthan history, art and culture your strongest area; it appears in CET and again in most later main exams.
- Practise reasoning and maths daily to stay within the 150-minute limit.
