About JKSSB Supervisor
JKSSB fills Supervisor posts in Mission Poshan for the Social Welfare Department, and the Mission Director, Poshan Abhiyaan, J&K is the appointing authority. Advertisement Notification No. 13 of 2025, dated 26 December 2025, lists 36 district cadre posts in Kathua, Udhampur, Ramban, Reasi, Poonch, Rajouri, Baramulla and Shopian at pay Level-4 (25500-81100). Only women graduates can apply. Half of the written paper is a specialisation section on sociology, child development, nutrition and welfare schemes such as Anganwadi Services and Poshan Abhiyan.

What they ask
The Supervisor paper carries 120 marks for two hours, in English only, and a quarter of a question's marks goes for every wrong answer. Half the paper, 60 marks, is the specialisation part: sociology, gender and human rights, human development, nutrition and health, and welfare schemes. The scheme unit names what it expects, including Poshan Abhiyan, Poshan Tracker, Anganwadi Services, PMMVY, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Paalna and Ladli Beti. The other 60 marks go to J&K-focused general awareness (20) and to English, reasoning, science and computers at 10 marks each.
How to prepare
- Make one note per scheme for Unit 6, covering its aim and who it is for: Poshan Abhiyan, PMMVY, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Scheme for Adolescent Girls, Paalna and Ladli Beti are all named in the syllabus.
- For Units 1 to 5, go through the topics the syllabus names one by one: social stratification, kinship and family, Freud and Erikson on human development, gender and human rights, and food, nutrition and hygiene.
- Give the 20-mark general awareness section time for J&K history, geography, economy and the J&K Reorganisation Act, 2019, which the syllabus lists by name.
- Answer only the questions you can narrow to one option. Every wrong answer costs a quarter mark.
