About Gujarat Gram Sevak
Gram Sevak is a Class 3 panchayat post in Gujarat for candidates with an agriculture, horticulture or rural studies background. GPSSB recruits through a three-hour objective exam in which half the marks test knowledge linked to your degree or diploma. Advt. No. 03/2026-27 was for 500 posts.

What they ask
The paper carries 200 marks in 3 hours. Half of it, 100 marks, tests job knowledge and the technical content of your qualifying degree or diploma. The other 100 marks cover general awareness (35), Gujarati grammar (20), English (20) and maths with reasoning and data interpretation (25). A quarter of a question's marks is cut for each wrong answer.
How to prepare
- Revise your agriculture or horticulture course subjects thoroughly. The technical section alone is half the paper.
- Cover Panchayati Raj and the welfare schemes of the Gujarat and central governments, both named in the general awareness syllabus.
- Practise data interpretation sets along with arithmetic, since the 25-mark maths section includes reasoning and DI.
