About CG ADEO
ADEOs work at block level on rural development schemes and Panchayati Raj under the Development Commissioner's office in Nava Raipur. The advertisement of 2 April 2025 announced 200 posts (193 regular and 7 backlog), open only to local residents of Chhattisgarh. Vyapam held the written exam under code ADEO25.

- The merit list gives 85% weight to written exam marks and adds up to 15 marks for a postgraduate degree or PG diploma in rural development.

What they ask
Half of the 100 questions come from rural development schemes and Panchayati Raj, so this is closer to a job knowledge test than a general exam. Expect questions on MGNREGA, NRLM, PMAY (Gramin), the 73rd Amendment and the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act 1993. Chhattisgarh GK adds 25 questions, general studies 15, and the rest is General Hindi. A quarter mark is cut for every wrong answer.
How to prepare
- Make scheme notes (aim, beneficiary, funding share, start year) for every flagship rural scheme named in the syllabus.
- Read the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Act 1993 for the structure and duties of gram, janpad and zila panchayats.
- If you have a PG degree or diploma in rural development, keep the certificate ready: it adds up to 15 marks in merit.
