About CG Sahayak Shikshak
The Directorate of Public Instruction (Lok Shikshan Sanchalanalaya) hires Sahayak Shikshak for government primary schools, and the Staff Selection Board runs the written exam (code LSAT26). The 2026 detailed advertisement lists 2,292 posts, 795 in the E cadre and 1,497 in the T cadre, filled district-wise. Only candidates with a Chhattisgarh local resident certificate are eligible.

General category: 21–35 years, counted on 1 January 2026.
Age relaxation
- OBC: 5 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- SC, ST and OBC relaxation is for candidates of those categories of Chhattisgarh.
- Women get up to 10 years under the Chhattisgarh Civil Services (Special Provision for Appointment of Women) Rules, 1997.
- Government employees can apply up to 38; ex-servicemen deduct their service subject to the rules.
- All relaxations together cannot take the age past 45.

What they ask
The paper has 100 one-mark objective questions in 2 hours, and a quarter mark is lost for each wrong answer. Half the paper is school subjects at primary level: Hindi, English, maths and EVS. Hindi questions include grammar plus how children learn to read and write. The rest covers child development and pedagogy, reasoning, basic computer knowledge and general knowledge.
How to prepare
- Check that you hold a TET pass before applying; the advertisement makes it a condition along with D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed.
- Revise Hindi grammar and primary-level maths first, as they carry 15 marks each.
- Skip guesses you cannot narrow down, because each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
- Do not ignore the 5-mark computer section; basics like MS Office and internet use are quick marks.
