About Tripura High Court JAA
The High Court of Tripura recruits its own office staff through its Registrar General, with applications on the court's online recruitment portal. Advertisement HC-02/2026 is for 14 Junior Administrative Assistant posts (UR 6, SC 6, ST 2). What they ask
Phase 1 is a 100-mark objective paper over two hours covering English, general knowledge, aptitude, reasoning and basic computer knowledge. You need 60% here to move on, and roughly three candidates per post are shortlisted. Phase 2 has a 20-mark English typing test on a computer and a 30-mark written English test with comprehension, précis, paragraph and letter writing, and translation between Bengali and English. Phase 2 also needs 60%.
How to prepare
- Build your computer typing speed well past 40 words per minute: the advertisement asks for 40 and Phase 2 marks typing out of 20.
- Practise translating short official passages from Bengali to English and back for the written English test.
- Take Phase 1 mocks with a target of 60% or more, since that is the cut-off before any relaxation for reserved categories.
- Revise basic computer knowledge alongside reasoning and aptitude, as Phase 1 lists all three.
