About Tripura Excise SI

What they ask
The written exam runs for three hours and has two parts. The 90-mark MCQ part leans on general knowledge and current affairs (40 marks), with aptitude and general English at 15 marks each and arithmetic and general science at 10 each. The 40-mark conventional part asks for a report or letter and an essay or paragraph, 20 marks each. The scheme leaves the MCQ question pattern and any negative marking to TPSC, so read the admit card instructions.
How to prepare
- Give general knowledge and current affairs the most time; it is 40 of the 130 written marks.
- Write one timed report or letter and one essay each week for the 40-mark conventional part.
- Do short daily sets of arithmetic and general science questions; each carries only 10 marks, so aim for accuracy on basics rather than depth.
