Kerala PSC recruits Electricity Workers for the Kerala State Electricity Board district by district. Category No. 21/2026 listed 985 vacancies across the 14 districts, from 24 in Pathanamthitta to 139 in Ernakulam, on a pay scale of ₹24,400–43,600. Applications closed on 3 June 2026.

What they ask
The published syllabus for Category No. 21/2026 is entirely technical: ten modules of 10 marks each, from basic electricity and circuit laws to motors, transformers, generation and transmission. There is no general knowledge, English or language section in it. The syllabus also notes that questions can come from anything in the qualifying course, which here is the Electrician or Wireman trade.
How to prepare
- Revise your ITI Electrician or Wireman theory module by module; every module carries the same 10 marks, so no unit is safe to drop.
- Practise numericals on Ohm's law, Kirchhoff's laws and power, which run through several modules.
- Get comfortable climbing a 9 m pole and coming down within 8 minutes before the practical test.
- Check the district list in the notification before you apply: vacancies ranged from 24 in Pathanamthitta to 139 in Ernakulam.

How to apply
- Create a One Time Registration profile on keralapsc.gov.in, or log in to the one you already have.
- Open the notification and click 'Apply Now' against the category number. Kerala PSC charges no application fee.
- When the exam programme comes out, submit your confirmation to write the test from your profile within the window given. Applications without a confirmation are rejected.
- Download the admission ticket from your profile. It opens in the last 15 days before the test.
Photo and signature
- Photo: JPG, 200 pixels high and 150 pixels wide, up to 30 KB, face and shoulders clearly visible on a white or light background. A new One Time Registration profile needs a photo taken within the last six months, with your name and the date printed at the bottom.
- Signature: JPG, 150 pixels wide and 100 pixels high, up to 30 KB. A blank, unclear or incomplete signature image gets the application rejected.
