About PSPCL JE

What they ask
The online test is 100 one-mark MCQs in 120 minutes. Half of it comes from the electrical engineering course, and Punjabi follows with 20 questions, ahead of general knowledge, reasoning and English at 10 each. Each wrong answer costs a quarter mark, scores are normalised if the test runs in several shifts, and the qualifying mark is 45% (35% for reserved categories).
How to prepare
- Revise your core diploma subjects for the 50 technical questions. The advertisement gives no topic-wise syllabus, so work from your own course.
- Treat Punjabi as a scoring section. At 20 questions it is worth more than general knowledge, reasoning or English on its own.
- Keep the qualifying mark in view before you guess: you need 45 out of 100 (35 for reserved categories), and each wrong answer costs 0.25.
- Check your diploma percentage early. Diploma holders need 60% and degree holders 50%, and eligibility is checked at document checking even after you pass the test.
