About AP Vidyut AEE
Andhra Pradesh's power utilities, APTRANSCO, APGENCO, APEPDCL, APCPDCL and APSPDCL, recruit Assistant Executive Engineers through one common exam. APSPDCL's Notification No. 1/2026, dated 25 June 2026, listed 135 of its own AEE vacancies, with applications through apvidyutrecruitment.apcfss.in from 30 June to 20 July 2026. - Electrical machines: transformers, DC machines, induction and synchronous machines
- Power systems: transmission, distribution, load flow, fault analysis, protection, stability

Core: Telecom and Civil
- Telecom: network analysis, filters, amplifiers and feedback, logic gates and counters, and other topics listed in the notification
- Civil: structural analysis, building materials and concrete, soil mechanics, steel structures and other topics listed in the notification

What they ask
The computer based test is 100 marks over 3 hours with no negative marking. Your own branch of engineering accounts for 70 marks. The other 30 are split as reasoning 5, general awareness 7, English 5, quantitative aptitude 8 and computer knowledge 5. For electrical candidates the core syllabus runs through circuits, machines, power systems and protection, control systems, measurements, electronics and power electronics. You need 40% as OC/EWS, 35% as BC or 30% as SC/ST/PwBD to qualify.
How to prepare
- Put most of your effort into core engineering, which is 70 of the 100 marks; for electrical, power systems and machines take up a large share of the syllabus.
- Attempt every question, since the notification says there is no negative marking.
- Revise 10+2 level quantitative aptitude; at 8 marks it is the largest of the general sections.
- Fill utility and zone preferences carefully, because the notification says they cannot be changed after submission.
