About JSSC Technical Graduate Level
JTGLCCE is JSSC's graduate-level exam for posts that need a particular degree, such as science, statistics, dairy technology or fisheries. The 2026 cycle is Advertisement No. 01/2026 for regular vacancies in the health, planning, animal husbandry, fisheries and other departments. It follows the JSSC two-stage format, with a technical subject paper in the mains.
Eligibility
Age limit
General category: 21–35 years, counted on 1 August 2025.
Age relaxation
- OBC: 2 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: 5 years
- Upper age limit by category: 37 for Extremely Backward Class (Annexure-1) and Backward Class (Annexure-2) men, 38 for women from the unreserved, EWS, EBC and BC groups, and 40 for SC and ST candidates.
- Candidates with a disability of 40% or more get 10 extra years; ex-servicemen get 5 extra years.

What they ask
The prelims is the standard JSSC general paper of 120 questions, with 60 on Jharkhand. The mains is where your degree subject counts: Paper 3 has 100 technical questions out of 150, and you must score at least 30% in the technical part. Paper 1 (Hindi and English) and Paper 2 (regional language) also need 30% each. All questions carry 3 marks, with 1 mark cut for each wrong answer.
How to prepare
- Revise your graduation subject in depth, since the technical section is 100 of the 150 questions in mains Paper 3.
- Prepare Jharkhand general knowledge for the prelims, where it is half the paper.
- Check the exact degree each post needs in the brochure before choosing post preferences; several posts ask for honours in a named subject.
