About JSSC Inter Level
JILCCE is JSSC's exam for posts that need Class 12, mostly with science. The 2026 cycle, Advertisement No. 03/2026, has 326 regular vacancies for posts such as Health Supervisor, Multipurpose Health Worker, Junior Field Investigator and Fisheries Technical Assistant. It has a prelims and a mains, though the prelims is normally dropped if fewer than 50,000 people apply.
Eligibility
Age limit
General category: 18–35 years, counted on 1 August 2023, 2024 or 2025, depending on the post (see the brochure table).
Age relaxation
- OBC: 2 years
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Ex-servicemen: 5 years
- Upper age limit by category: 35 for unreserved and EWS, 37 for EBC and BC men, 38 for women from the unreserved, EWS, EBC and BC groups, and 40 for SC and ST candidates.
- Candidates with a disability of 40% or more get 10 extra years; ex-servicemen get 5 extra years.

What they ask
Both stages use multiple-choice questions of 3 marks each, with 1 mark cut for a wrong answer. The 120-question prelims gives half its questions to Jharkhand, and you need at least 40% in it if you are unreserved or EWS, with lower cut-offs for reserved groups and women. The prelims shortlist is about 15 times the vacancies. In the mains, Paper 1 only needs 30%, and your merit comes from Papers 2 and 3 added together.
How to prepare
- Put Jharkhand topics first: they are 60 of 120 questions in the prelims and 40 of 120 in mains Paper 3.
- Check the stream rule for your post before applying. Most posts need science or biology at Class 12, and Junior Field Investigator needs mathematics.
- Paper 1 is only qualifying, but below 30% your other papers are not marked, so keep Hindi and English grammar practice going.
- Use daily topic-wise quizzes on the free Improvam app for mental ability and computer knowledge, which are 10 questions each in Paper 3.
