Haryana government exams

Most Haryana government jobs go through two commissions in Panchkula. The Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) recruits for officer and Group B posts such as HCS, DSP and PGT, and conducts the Civil Judge exam for the state's selection committee. The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) runs the Common Eligibility Test (CET): Group D jobs are filled on CET marks alone, while Group C jobs such as police constable, jail warder, forest guard and nurse need a second, post-wise exam open only to CET-qualified candidates. Teacher eligibility (HTET) is tested by the Board of School Education Haryana, and clerks for the district courts are hired by SSSC under the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
