About DSSSB MTS
MTS is the entry-level Group C post in Delhi government offices, on Pay Level 1. DSSSB filled it through Advertisement No. 07/2025 (Combined Examination, 2025, dated 11 December 2025), with 714 vacancies (715 after a May 2026 corrigendum added one post in Registrar Cooperative Societies) spread over departments such as Labour, NCC, General Administration and Excise. Class 10 is enough to apply, and selection is by one objective test.
Eligibility
Age limit
General category: 18–27 years, counted on 15 January 2026.
Age relaxation
- SC: 5 years
- ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- PwBD candidates get 13 years if they are also OBC and 15 years if also SC or ST.
- Ex-servicemen: period of military service plus 3 years.
- Departmental candidates with 3 years' regular service: up to 40 years of age (45 for SC and ST, 43 for OBC) for a Group C post in the same or an allied cadre.
Qualification
Matriculation (Class 10) or equivalent from a recognised board.
Other conditions
- OBC reservation and age relaxation need an OBC (Delhi) certificate, or an outside certificate for a caste that the Delhi government has notified as OBC. Other OBC candidates apply as unreserved.

What they ask
The MTS paper has 200 one-mark questions in two hours, 40 from each of general awareness, reasoning, arithmetic, Hindi and English. There is no subject section, so the whole paper tests general ability. Questions are in Hindi and English except the language sections, and 0.25 is cut per wrong answer. The minimum qualifying marks are 40% for General and EWS, 35% for OBC (Delhi) and 30% for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.
How to prepare
- Give Hindi and English equal time. Each is worth 40 of the 200 marks, the same as general awareness.
- Work through the arithmetic list in the DSSSB syllabus: percentage, ratio, profit and loss, interest, time and work, and mensuration are all named.
- Keep a steady pace. 200 questions in 120 minutes is 36 seconds a question.
- Take daily topic-wise practice quizzes on the free Improvam app for reasoning and arithmetic.

How to apply
- Register once on dsssbonline.nic.in; one registration serves every DSSSB exam.
- Log in, pick the post code and fill in the online form before the closing date.
- Pay the fee through SBI e-pay if your category is not exempt.
- Print the submitted form and keep checking dsssb.delhi.gov.in for the exam date and notices.
