What they ask
The 100-question paper runs for 90 minutes, with 0.25 mark cut for each wrong answer, and is set at Matriculation level. Half the marks come from general knowledge and current affairs, so that section decides most ranks. Maths is only 15 questions, and 10 questions test basic computer use: MS Word, MS Excel, e-mail and the internet. The paper is set in English and Hindi only.
How to prepare
- Spend the most time on GK and current affairs, which carry 50 of the 100 marks.
- Learn the MS Word, MS Excel, e-mail and browser basics listed in the notice. These 10 questions need only a few days of focused study.
- Train for the 1,600-metre race first. Only candidates who clear the race go on to the long jump and high jump.
- Men should get a permanent LMV licence before the physical test date, because a learner's licence is rejected.
- Revise current affairs and reasoning with daily topic-wise practice quizzes on the free Improvam app.
