About DNH DD TGT PGT
The SSB fills TGT and PGT posts for the UT Administration through one advertisement. Advertisement No. 02, dated 6 January 2024, listed 75 PGT posts in 11 subjects and 130 TGT posts, spread over English, Gujarati, Hindi and Marathi medium schools plus language subjects. The last date was later extended to 28 August 2024, and the computer-based exams were held on 23 June 2025 for PGT and 24 June 2025 for TGT.
Eligibility
Age limit
General category: Up to 30 years, counted on 28 August 2024, the extended closing date set by the SSB corrigendum of 20 August 2024.
Age relaxation
- The upper age limit is relaxable under orders of the UT Administration or the Central Government issued from time to time.
- If you applied earlier and were eligible on the closing date in force at that time (1 February 2024, or 1 March 2024 after the first extension), the SSB's notice of 23 August 2024 says you remain eligible.
Qualification
TGT: graduation in the subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed from an NCTE-recognised institution, or a 4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed from an NCTE-recognised institution. PGT: post-graduation in the subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed, or post-graduation with 50% and a B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed from an NCTE-recognised institution. For medium-specific posts, the medium of your SSC (Class 10) must match the medium you apply for; this rule does not apply to language subjects.
Other conditions
- The advertisement sets no residence condition. SC, ST and OBC reservation for these Group B posts is applied on an all-India basis.
- Application fee is Rs 200. SC, ST, persons with disabilities and women pay no fee; ex-servicemen pay Rs 100.
- A few posts are reserved for candidates with locomotor disabilities (OL, OA, MW, OLA) at 40% or more: one PGT Statistics and one PGT Physics post, two TGT Mathematics posts and one TGT Social Science post.

What they ask
The SSB published one indicative Part I syllabus for both TGT and PGT, covering reasoning, quantitative aptitude, teaching aptitude, general awareness and general science. Because it is labelled Part I and allows miscellaneous questions, check the SSB page at ddd.gov.in/ojas for any subject portion before you plan. The paper is set in the medium of the post you applied for, so a Gujarati, Hindi or Marathi medium candidate gets the paper in that language, and language-subject candidates get it in their language. The test is scored out of 100 with a quarter mark cut for each wrong answer, and each shift in the June 2025 schedule ran for two hours.
How to prepare
- Treat quantitative aptitude as a scoring section: percentages, profit and loss, interest, time and work, time and speed, mixtures, pipes and cisterns, permutation and probability. Practise timed sets of 20 questions.
- Prepare teaching aptitude from your B.Ed notes on teaching methods, evaluation, educational psychology and classroom leadership, since the syllabus lists these topics by name.
- Revise general science at the level of NCERT books for Classes 6 to 8. The list covers acids and bases, electricity, light, motion, nutrition, soil, weather and cyclones.
- If you applied for a Gujarati, Hindi or Marathi medium post, practise reasoning and aptitude questions in that language too, because the paper will be in it.

- Read the advertisement and detailed instructions on the SSB page of ddd.gov.in or on daman.nic.in/ojas.
- Choose the post, subject and medium that match your degree and your Class 10 medium.
- Apply through the link given in the advertisement (daman.nic.in/ojas for the 2024 round) and pay the fee if you are not exempt.
- Check the form before final submission and keep the confirmation number.
- Watch the portal for the exam schedule and download the e-admit card.
