About Punjab Naib Tehsildar
Naib Tehsildars handle revenue and land record work in the field offices of Punjab's Department of Revenue, Rehabilitation and Disaster Management. Advertisement No. 01 of 2025, which also covered Audit Officer and Inspector Audit, had 13 Naib Tehsildar posts, all of them backlog posts for ex-servicemen, sportspersons and candidates with visual or hearing disability. Selection is by one written test followed by counselling.

- Reservation benefits are for residents of Punjab with a valid domicile certificate.

What they ask
The Naib Tehsildar test is one block of 120 one-mark MCQs in two hours, and it has no separate revenue law paper. Reasoning and general knowledge carry about 30 marks each, Punjab history and culture about 20, Punjabi and English about 15 each and computers about 10. A quarter mark is cut for each wrong answer, and the board notes that the section split may shift a little.
How to prepare
- Treat reasoning as a scoring section. About 20 marks are logical reasoning alone, with 10 more on numbers and data.
- Prepare Punjabi seriously even if English is your stronger language. Both are worth about 15 marks.
- Build a Punjab history set covering the Sikh Gurus and Sikh rulers, Sufism and the Bhakti movement, and the freedom movements in Punjab. It carries about 20 marks.
- Attempt only what you can reason out, since each wrong answer costs 0.25 marks.
