Goa government exams

Three bodies handle most Goa government recruitment. The Goa Public Service Commission (GPSC) recruits officers such as Junior Scale Officers of the Goa Civil Service. The Goa Staff Selection Commission (GSSC), set up under the Goa Staff Selection Commission Act, 2019, fills Group C posts through two-tier computer-based tests: police constable and sub-inspector, LDC, forest guard, junior engineer and primary teacher. The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education holds the Goa Teacher Eligibility Test. Knowledge of Konkani is an essential qualification for nearly every post, and GSSC applicants need a 15-year Goa residence certificate.
