Bihar government exams

Four state bodies run most government recruitment in Bihar. BPSC handles officer-level posts, school teacher recruitment and a few smaller cadres, BSSC runs the graduate, inter and matric level combined exams, CSBC recruits police constables and BPSSC recruits sub-inspectors and assistant sub-inspectors. Most of these advertisements accept any Indian citizen, but reservation, including the horizontal quota for women, is given only to permanent residents of Bihar.
