Uttarakhand government exams

Three bodies fill most Uttarakhand government jobs. The Uttarakhand Public Service Commission (UKPSC) in Haridwar runs the PCS exam and officer-level exams such as Police SI. The Uttarakhand Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UKSSSC) in Dehradun recruits for Group C posts, including Police Constable, Patwari, Lekhpal, VDO, clerical posts and staff for the state's civil and family courts. Health posts such as Nursing Officer go through the Uttarakhand Medical Service Selection Board (UKMSSB), and most Group C advertisements ask for an Uttarakhand link such as a state domicile certificate.
