About AAI Junior Executive
Airports Authority of India, a Mini Ratna Category-1 public sector enterprise, fills Junior Executive (E-1, Rs 40,000 to Rs 1,40,000) and Manager (E-3, Rs 60,000 to Rs 1,80,000) posts through its own computer-based test. Advertisement No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT took applications from 8 August to 7 September 2026 for 389 tentative vacancies, 129 of them Junior Executive posts. AAI hires engineering Junior Executives separately on GATE scores and runs a separate advertisement for Air Traffic Control.

General category: Up to 27 years, counted on 7 September 2026 (Advertisement No. 12/2026/CHQ/DR-CBT).

- Manager posts have a maximum age of 32.
- Regular AAI employees who have completed probation get up to 10 years.

Other conditions
- A Light Motor Vehicle licence is essential for the Airport Operations posts; a learner's licence is not accepted.
- Application fee is Rs 1,000 including GST. SC, ST, PwBD and women candidates, and apprentices who completed one year of training in AAI, are exempt.
- Colour blindness or night blindness is a ground for rejection in every post except Manager (Finance) and Junior Executive (Finance).

What they ask
For JE (Operations), the CBT has 120 marks and lasts two hours. Half the weight goes to general knowledge, English, quantitative aptitude and reasoning, and a fifth of that half is aviation general knowledge: abbreviations, airport layout, airlines, meteorology reports and the bodies that regulate aviation. The other half is Physics and Maths at Class 12 level plus basic business management. There is no negative marking in any AAI CBT under this advertisement.
How to prepare
- For JE (Operations), revise Class 12 Physics and Maths properly. Together they are 80% of Part B.
- Make a one-page aviation sheet: ICAO, DGCA, BCAS, AERA, runway and apron terms, METAR and SPECI. These make up a fifth of Part A.
- Answer every question. The advertisement says there is no negative marking in the CBT.
- Get a permanent LMV licence early if you want the Operations post. A temporary or learner's licence is not accepted.

- Enter your percentage of marks to two decimals as asked in the form.
- Upload a colour photo and signature in the sizes given below.
- Pay Rs 1,000 online unless you are in an exempt category.
