Which one should you pick?
If you want the biggest seat count: SSC GD and Railway Group D run the largest recruitments in India — tens of thousands of posts per cycle. Competition is huge in absolute numbers, but the syllabus is Class-10 level; daily consistency beats coaching here.
If you want an office job: SSC CHSL (clerical posts in central ministries) and RRB NTPC's undergraduate posts are the standard routes. Both add typing tests — start practising typing alongside the CBT prep, not after.
If you want the forces: NDA is the officer route and genuinely competitive — maths matters as much as GK. Agniveer is the four-year soldier entry with much higher intake; check the trade-wise eligibility (GD trade needs Class 10, clerk needs Class 12 with percentage conditions).
If you want in with zero exam: India Post GDS selects purely on Class 10 marks. There is nothing to prepare — apply every cycle if your marks are strong.

Can I prepare for multiple 12th-level exams at once? Yes — that's the standard strategy. The GA/science/maths/reasoning core overlaps almost completely; only the physical-test standards and typing tests differ per exam.
Which govt exam after 12th is easiest to crack? "Easiest" is really "largest intake relative to serious preparation": SSC GD and Group D reward plain daily consistency. India Post GDS needs no exam at all — only strong Class 10 marks.
Do these jobs allow further promotion or study? Yes. Departmental exams open promotion routes, and many aspirants complete a degree alongside and later attempt graduate-level exams like SSC CGL — the preparation carries straight over.
When should I start preparing? The day after boards end. GA compounds daily and cannot be compressed; six months of 25-minute sessions beats any crash course.
