Central Teaching government exams

Teaching jobs under the Central Government are filled through a small set of national exams. CBSE conducts CTET, the eligibility test you need to teach Classes 1 to 8 in central government schools, and it also ran the 2025 joint recruitment for Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti. NESTS, under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, recruits teachers and staff for Eklavya Model Residential Schools through its own staff selection exam. For college teaching, research fellowships and PhD admission, the National Testing Agency conducts UGC NET and the Joint CSIR-UGC NET.
