Andaman and Nicobar Islands government exams

Most Group B (non-gazetted) and Group C jobs under the Andaman and Nicobar Administration are filled through common tablet-based tests run by the Recruitment and Examination Cell of the Secretariat: a Combined Matric Level exam for posts such as MTS and Forest Guard, and a Combined Higher Secondary Level exam for clerks, patwaris, foresters and similar posts. Andaman and Nicobar Police recruits its own constables, sub-inspectors, firemen and technical staff, and the Directorate of Health Services holds separate tests for posts like ANM. Notices, admit cards and results for these drives are posted on the Administration's e-Recruitment portal. Seats reserved for ST and OBC candidates go only to the local communities notified by the Administration, so applicants from outside the islands compete for unreserved seats.
