Ladakh government exams

Ladakh has no public service commission of its own. Gazetted posts are referred to UPSC, while Group B non-gazetted and Group C posts of UT or divisional cadre fall to the Ladakh Subordinate Services Staff Selection Board (LSSSSB), set up on 7 February 2024. District cadre jobs are filled by the hill council boards, LAHD-SSRB in Leh and KAHD-SSRB in Kargil, and Ladakh Police runs its own constable and sub-inspector recruitment through LPSSRB. Almost every one of these recruitments asks for a Ladakh domicile certificate issued under the 2025 domicile rules, and the UT's 2025 reservation rules keep 80% of vacancies for Scheduled Tribes.
