SSC CHSL results: a shortlist, tentative allocation and final result differ

Understand SSC CHSL result stages with verified 2025 examples. Read the correct list, track identity verification and avoid treating a shortlist as final.

A PDF containing your roll number can require another action. Read the notice before assuming the recruitment is finished.

The CHSL 2025 Tier-I result dated 27 February 2026 shortlisted candidates for Tier-II, using separate lists for different post groups. That document did not announce final appointment. Official Tier-I result write-up.

Put each document in its proper stage

Start a record with four fields: recruitment cycle, notice date, stage and required action. This prevents a result published in 2026 for the 2025 recruitment from being mistaken for a CHSL 2026 result.

Search the right roll-number list after reading its heading. Use the roll number from the examination record, not an application number copied from memory. Check whether the write-up separates LDC/JSA and DEO groups or lists special cases elsewhere.

Keep the write-up with the list. A forwarded page can omit the paragraph that explains provisional status, withheld results or the next step.

What the 2025 allocation example shows

SSC's 19 August 2026 identity-verification notice referred to a First Round of Tentative Allocation published on 17 August. It scheduled slot selection for 20–22 August and physical identity verification for 1–3 September. These are historical dates, not an open window. Official CHSL 2025 identity-verification notice.

The point of that example is practical: seeing your name in an allocation did not remove the need to read and act on a separate verification notice. The same notice warned that absence would prevent inclusion in the final result.

If you encounter “FIX” or “FLOAT”, read the specific allocation instructions before choosing. Do not infer what the options do from another recruitment or from college-admission terminology. Save the choice and confirmation shown by the official system.

Marks, cutoffs and selection are different records

Your individual marks tell you what score SSC recorded. The cutoff table describes the threshold for the stated list and category. A final selection document has its own conditions. Read all three in context instead of trying to infer the entire process from one number.

If you cannot find your roll number, check the cycle, applicable list and any revised notice. If a genuine discrepancy remains, use the official contact or representation process stated for that examination. Do not post your password, full identity documents or login screenshots in public groups.

This article does not forecast CHSL 2026 result dates. Follow the official SSC notice board for notices that actually announce the relevant stage.

While waiting, keep practising the typing test. For the current pattern, use the CHSL 2026 stages guide, and find related routes in exam guides.
