Find the matching record
Start with your application confirmation. Write down the advertisement number and state, then open the matching recruitment entry on SBI's site. Read whether the notice concerns prelims, mains, provisional selection or a waitlist release.
If the result is a PDF, search for the complete roll number rather than a short fragment. Check that the number belongs to your current application. Similar digits in a different record can easily cause confusion on a phone screen.
If marks require login, use the linked official form yourself. Follow its date format and identifier instructions. Keep an offline copy of the result for your records and avoid sharing a screenshot that exposes private information.
What the waitlist does and does not mean
For the regular 2026 recruitment, SBI provides for a state-category waitlist of up to 50% of vacancies, with quarterly releases against specified non-joining and resignations from the current batch. Do not turn a past cycle's release month into the next cycle's promised date. Read the actual notice when it is issued. A social-media estimate of how many candidates might decline a job cannot confirm movement in your state and category.
Keep your preparation moving while the outcome remains unresolved. A planned weekly check of official updates is more useful than repeatedly refreshing unofficial result pages during a study session.
If your number appears
Read every instruction accompanying the list. Note the action required, the deadline and the official contact route. Prepare a document tracker from that communication, with space to record which originals and copies are ready.

If your number does not appear
