About Navy Agniveer MR
The MR entry lets Class 10 pass candidates join the Indian Navy as Agniveers for four years. For the 01/2027 and 02/2027 batches, unmarried men and women applied through INET 2026 between 14 March and 6 April 2026. The process mirrors SSR, with a shorter 10th-level paper: INET, then a physical fitness test, a written exam and a medical.

Other conditions
- Agniveer 01/2027 batch: born between 1 December 2004 and 31 May 2009. Agniveer 02/2027 batch: born between 1 May 2005 and 31 October 2009 (both dates included).
- Only unmarried men and women can enrol.
- Exam fee: Rs 550 plus 18% GST, paid once at the INET stage.
- Shortlisting for Stage II is state-wise.
- Minimum height: 157 cm for men and women.

What they ask
The MR paper is short: 50 one-mark questions in 30 minutes at Class 10 level, split into Science and Mathematics and General Awareness. You need a pass in each section and in the total, and each wrong answer costs a quarter mark. The Stage II written test after the PFT follows the same format.
How to prepare
- Revise your Class 10 Science and Maths textbooks chapter by chapter, since both papers are set at that level.
- Practise 50-question sets in 30 minutes; that is about 36 seconds a question, so speed matters more than depth.
- Read the news daily for the General Awareness section, which you must pass on its own.
- Train for the PFT early, as the Stage II written exam is only for those who clear it.
