ISRO Scientist/Engineer admit card: check the revised CBT date and your recruitment

Find ISRO's official Scientist/Engineer admit-card link for the revised 29 October CBT, distinguish the GATE recruitment, and check your paper and documents.

For ISRO:ICRB:03(EMC):2026, ISRO's official recruitment page lists an admit-card download link and a revised CBT date of 29 October 2026. The earlier date, 19 October, remains lower down on the page; the postponement notice supersedes it.

This is the Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ recruitment in Electronics, Mechanical and Computer Science. Check the advertisement number on your saved application before opening a login link.

Download from the matching recruitment page

  1. Open the official ISRO page linked above.
  2. Find the admit-card link for the Scientist/Engineer CBT scheduled for 29 October.
  3. Follow that link to the candidate portal and use the credentials requested there.
  4. Save your admission document and read every instruction, including the reporting time and identification requirements.
  5. Check the centre address and candidate details before arranging travel.

ISRO also lists documents for candidates requesting compensatory time or a scribe on that recruitment page. Review the applicable annexures there. The public link confirms a download route; it does not establish that a particular candidate has been issued an admit card.

If the login fails, compare the application number with the recruitment you opened. Check whether the browser filled a password from a different application. Use the recovery or help option on the official portal if needed, and keep passwords and OTPs private.

The GATE recruitment is a separate route

The July advertisement ISRO:ICRB:02(EMC-CEPO):2026 has a different official page, which lists interview shortlists and a GATE-score cut-off document. Its advertisement bases interview shortlisting on GATE scores, rather than GATE marks or rank, and gives GATE scores and interview marks equal weight in the final panel.

An interview shortlist on that page is not the CBT admit card for the August advertisement. Put the full advertisement number at the top of your preparation notes so that a search result for another ISRO recruitment does not change your plan.

Centre-specific recruitment needs the same care. For example, the ISTRAC:02:2026 page concerns technical support posts and records a CBT held on 25 September. That page's examination date does not apply to ICRB Scientist/Engineer applicants.

Check the two-part CBT format

The August ICRB official advertisement, pages 13–14 gives this format:

PartQuestions and marksTimeWrong-answer deduction
A: discipline80 questions, 80 marks90 minutesOne-third mark per wrong answer
B: aptitude/abilityUp to 15 questions, 20 marks30 minutesNo negative marking

Part A awards one mark for a correct answer and zero for an unanswered one. As a practice calculation, 60 correct and 12 incorrect answers would give 56 marks in Part A: 60 minus 12 divided by 3. This example is not a qualifying-score prediction.

Keep separate records for the two parts when reviewing a practice attempt. A single total can hide a weak aptitude section or repeated discipline errors. Use the official notice for the applicable qualifying conditions and your admission instructions for exam-day arrangements.

Use the remaining preparation time deliberately

Start with the errors you have already made. Choose a small group of recurring problems, solve them again without looking at the answer, and write down the step you previously missed. Re-reading an entire subject can feel productive while leaving those mistakes unchanged.

The ICRB recruitment page links previous question papers by discipline and year. Select your own discipline, note the year, and compare its instructions with the current scheme before timing yourself. An older paper is useful practice; its format should not silently replace the current notification.

Keep the final evening manageable. Test that your saved admission document opens, check the route to the centre and prepare the items your instructions require. Leave time to resolve a missing or unreadable document through official support.

If you are also preparing for engineering recruitment through SSC, our SSC JE revision guide explains how to keep a calculation-error notebook. Use the study planner for your own revision schedule; Improvam's browser practice is not an official ISRO paper.

Official ISRO pages and linked advertisements checked on 26 October 2026. The revised date above is the schedule published at that check, not confirmation that the test has taken place. Recheck the official recruitment page before travelling. No result or interview date for the August CBT recruitment is asserted here.
