Karnataka government exams

Most Karnataka state jobs are filled through a small group of recruiting bodies. KPSC runs the Gazetted Probationers (KAS) exam and several Group C recruitments such as Panchayat Development Officer, while the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) now conducts the written tests for other departments, including police constable, village administrative officer and residential school teacher posts. Most notifications are in Kannada, and many come in two parts: one for the Kalyana-Karnataka (Article 371J) cadre and one for the rest of the state. If you did not study Kannada at school, expect to sit a Kannada language test.
